Now...We aren't the sort of people to talk about ourselves a lot. We have a whole site to do that for us. No, in the news section, this is where we will place all the tidbits of information we hear about new games, old games, any games. We will try to help prove or disprove rumors about games and the Xbox in general, and place here new information as it is garnered. Also, all of our sources will be clearly marked, so we don't go stealing anyones thunder.
However, bear in mind that we are a clan. This is just some stuff for our members to look at. We aren't reporters, or nerds, either, so if we do have anything wrong in these articles, tell us. Just don't be a dick about it. And of course, any information here that we mark as a rumour or as theory, remember it is exactly that.

Gears Of War 2
Now, we all know everyone is excited about Gears of War 2. What you may not have known is some of the juicy little details. We don't want to lie when we say its some pretty kickass stuff. We had a previous link to the Wikipedia article, but 1up.com has info that is the dogs' danglies. Click on the links to see VIDEO FOOTAGE of Gears 2 multiplayer, and an article describing in relative detail, most aspects of the game.
Now, a few other little morsels.
Gears 2 will have a matchmaking system similar to Halo 3 or Call of duty 4, have a wide variety of new multiplayer modes and so forth. However, there is one section that we cannot totally verify yet, but feel we should inform about.
Host advantage may still be more noticable than in other games. The reason for this is the way Gears is programmed. We won't bore you, but because Gears of War doesn't have servers, the hosts upload speed is primarily what the game runs on. With games such as Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3, the servers have a basic upload speed, but they also need a host to put this through, which is why these games still have a bit of hostyness. However Gears 2 may have a blend of both worlds, with the servers upload connection strongly relying upon the creator of the party. So, get used to not being host again!
Also, as mentioned in the article, shotgun duels are going to be a thing of the past, as each weapon will have a stopping power stat which basically staggers your opponent. So, if you run towards someone with a lancer, your going to get boned. Simple as. It makes sense really.
Another thing is that the Longshot rifle, get ready for this:
WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DOWN YOU IN ONE SHOT.
That will sort out the men from the boys in the sniper department, as we here at Bare are firm believers of "There is honour in the Headshot", and all you dirty active users will no longer be able to classify yourselves as snipers. Yay!
And for everyone who says "Durgh.. But if it's in the game I should use it, hurgh" We say, dude, it still doesn't stop you being a pussy. Or a shit sniper.
Plus, as many of you will know, as there are now videos on the marketplace for our beloved title, that there is a new game mode called Horde. Obviously, if you've watched the video, you'll know that our mate Cliff says it is 5 players pitted against wave after wave of Locust (not just grubs, but eventually Boomers, Gattlers (which we decided to call the Boomers with miniguns) Brumaks and all other kinds of nasties), with them getting increasingly harder to kill as the waves are demolished. What he didn't tell you is that Epic themselves can only get up to level 26 of the alleged 50 that are available. So, they said if anyone beats level 26, they will say basically, that you are better than the developers of the game. We personally can not wait to be one of those people. So get your practice in.
Oh yeah and, if you purchase the special edition, not only will you get some stuff to watch and pin up on your wall or whatever, in multiplayer, you'll be able to have a GOLD-PLATED LANCER. Awwright!
Gears of War 2 will be anihilating all other games on November 7, 2008. Holy shit dude.

Microsofts New Xbox equipped with Blu Ray
We all know about the whole "HD vs. Blu-Ray" battle currently going on, so in gamers terms, the war of graphics between PS3 and Xbox. Dude, to be honest, Tienaava is colourblind so he don't give a shit, because he can't tell the difference, but he did provide us with this new bit of intel. Nice one, Popeye.
Recently Microsoft put in an order for some Blu-Ray disc drive technology
What this is for is not quite clear, but we reckon that with the supposed release of a new Xbox (again, cheers Tie), Microsoft may have a plan to at least equal their machine's pulling power by having the same equipment as the PS3.
This may be the angle that Microsoft want, or they may want to try and spread Blu-Ray so they can get a slice of the pie and get even more money, by outfitting their PCs and other products. Greedy shits.
We reckon that Blu-Ray will fail, because not as many people have a PS3, and even less people have a Blu-Ray player. Why buy some thing more expensive to do the same thing as your perfectly good DVD player, right? But, if Microsoft come through with their new plans, and the Xbox community spreads the good word maybe Blu-Ray will be the new HD, and this PS3 powered Xbox will be the hybrid to settle all arguments. Only time will tell. All we're saying is watch this space.
